The Association of Women’s Organisation in Jamaica

The Association of Women’s Organizations in Jamaica (AWOJA) is the primary umbrella group for women’s organizations in Jamaica. It is dedicated to advocating for the achievement of women’s rights across the nation. Woman Inc. AWOJA’s membership represents a broad spectrum of women’s groups, making it one of the most inclusive networks in the region. Its objectives emphasize an activist role, with member organizations such as the Organization of Women for Progress (OWP) and SISTREN, alongside the women’s arms of the two main political parties, contributing significantly to social change efforts

The mission of the NGO Caribbean Development Foundation is to contribute to the development of the NGO sector in the Caribbean region, by working with the sector and regional governments to redefine the role of the sector in the region, and its ability to impact on the policy making decisions of regional governments as an equal partner in providing support and help to the most vulnerable members of our societies.
